Refund and Cancellation Policy

Canceling

Cancel at any time from the billing portal in your account. No notice period, no phone call, no retention script. Cancellation stops the next renewal; access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.

The 14-day trial

Every new account gets 14 days free. No card is asked for and nothing is charged, so there is nothing to cancel and no way to be billed by accident. The app shows how many days are left while the trial runs.

When the trial ends, ctrlPlanner becomes read-only. Everything you made during it is still yours and still opens, prints and exports. See "What you keep" below. Subscribing is a decision you make, not one that happens to you.

Refunds

First charge, within 30 days: refunded in full on request, no reason needed.
Annual plans, within 30 days of the charge: refunded in full on request.
Later in a term: we do not routinely refund unused time, but write to us. If the software did not do what the page said it would, we would rather refund you than argue.
Charged after canceling, or charged twice: refunded in full, always, and tell us so we can find out why.

Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe, usually within five to ten business days depending on your bank.

What you keep

This is the part worth reading before you decide.

Canceling does not lock you out. ctrlPlanner becomes read-only: your plans still open, still print and still export, including AS9102 packages and control plans you have already produced. Creating and editing new work is what stops. Files already on your computer are untouched, and they are plain JSON and ordinary images inside a standard ZIP, so they remain readable with or without us.

You will not need to pay us to retrieve your own inspection records for an audit.
